Alex Clare’s Too Close
Singer songwriter dubsteps his way up to the top of the charts with ‘Too Close” the song was co-produced by Diplo’s Major Lazer. The track because the soundtrack to Microsoft’s advertisement for Internet Explorer 9 and reached number 20 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The singer is a religious Jew living in Jerusalem and the only religious Jew to rack up more than 20 million views on one music video. The album has a few great songs on it, but overall we feel that the reliance on blending in dubstep into traditional singer songwriter music is not enough to make some of the tracks stand out in the way of ‘Too Close’.
