This past Friday A-Trak’sFools Gold imprint pulled down the window paper, threw open the doors, and let the world see what the FG crew has been working on for months: 536 Metropolitan, their brand spanking new retail store in Brooklyn (open Monday-Saturday from noon until 6pm, happily serving all your Fool’s Gold music, gear and general swag-related needs).
Karmaloop was there to capture the whole thing on Friday, as you can see from the video up top, featuring a chat with day one Fool’s Gold homie Adam G (who helped design and build out the entire space from scratch) along with all the friends, fam and well-wishers who rolled through. After two hours of hardcore commerce and revelry, we hit brand new NYC spot The Westway for an afterparty with A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs on the wheels and Danny Brown on the mic, to celebrate the store opening as well as a very special new FG x Members Only collaboration…
On that note, we have a TON of projects, events and surprises coming up around the store, so stay tuned for more info. Meanwhile, check out some of Brook Bobbins store opening and afterparty pics, plus more at Jungle Gym Magazine.
