Crown Heights Labor Day Parade

erezandbloomberg2.jpgShemspeed was front and center at the Crown Heights Labor Day Parade (Officially named the West Indian American Day Carnival), this is the Biggest parade, street fair or festival in New York City, simply the biggest cultural event of the year. We got a call to walk with Mayor Mike Bloomberg and rep. So we sent Erez Safar & Yosef Savoy to walk side by side. check out some of the photos.

The parade is held in Brooklyn’s historic Crown Heights neighborhood. The parade route begins at the corner of Rochester & Eastern Parkway and ends near the Grand Army Plaza where non-masqueraders can jump up with the bands.
