Electro Morocco bio:

Electro Morocco is a unique mixture of energetic electro beats, middle eastern flavor, with a retro rock and pop edge. Their live performance combines live music with synced video clips that creates an unforgettable visual and musical experience. "Electro Morocco is what I would imagine would happen if Gwen Stefani met Balkan Beat Box in Tel Aviv".

Black Sea Hotel bio:
Black Sea Hotel is Brooklyn’s own Balkan Vocal Orchestra. Comprised of 4 American Women, Black Sea Hotel serenades audiences with old world melodies uniting their voices in vibrant, haunting music. With repertoire that includes straight-from-the-field village-style tunes, dance-songs, and traditional songs rendered anew, the voices dance through the wild terrain of the Balkans preserving the unique color of each region they inhabit. Whether pitted against one another in close harmonies, or joined together in ethereal arrangements, Black Sea Hotel incants ancient stories to her guests, transporting them to Bulgaria and beyond. This year, Black Sea Hotel has performed at venues such as Drom, Zlatne Uste's annual Golden Festival, Washington DC's "Balktoberfest" and as openers for Balkan Beat Box at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple.

Diwon bio:
Diwon (ne Erez Safar) is the founder and director of Shemspeed (largest, most diverse Jewish music site), Modular Mood Records (an independent record label), Hip Hop Sulha, and The Sephardic Music Festival. As the brains behind Modular Moods and many of the hyped parties in and around NYC, Diwon defies musical stereotypes. Dressed in traditional garb and armed with a beat machine, and sounds of the semitic underground, Diwon is taking Yemenite culture to the masses. As a multicultural maestro, he produces a mix of Yemenite and Sephardic music blended with electro hip hop beats. Influenced heavily by his family that migrated from Yemen to Ethiopia and finally settled in Israel, his music reflects the multicultural tapestry that is Israel. His live set brings together textural fusions of live and recorded sound and often are accompanied by singers from various backgrounds. diwon's music, style, and presence get famous US clubs to resemble the craziest festivals abroad.

Diwon has performed with Lou Reed, Anthony Coleman, Daniel Carter, DJ Spooky, Matisyahu, MC Paul Barman, Spankrock, Steinski, and Idan Raichel, and countless others. London Radio's 104.4 FM called him, "one of New York's hottest Jewish musicians;" The Village Voice stated that his work "as producer and DJ is among the most adventurous and banging on the new Jewish music scene;" the Jerusalem Post dubbed him, "Jewish music's multimedia mogul;" Forward listed him as one of the Top 50 "most influential Jews of 2007;" and Heeb Magazine listed him in their "Heeb Hundred." Diwon resides and maintains his many companies, within the auditory heart of Brooklyn.

BONUS: In honor of Israel 60, Diwon and Y-Love have remixed two of Israel's most beloved artists, Idan Raichel and Shotei Hanevua!!!
