Gifts for the Holidays?

We got you covered. Check this online boutique, Dveykus. I’m not sure if kids are still using the word ‘gnarly’, but the truth is these shirts at ‘gnarly’. I always wear the “Do You Rap?” (with the teffilin on the arm graphic) at Y-Love and Diwon shows. People are either like, “Oh, I get it!” or, “thats hilarious!”. Here is some background info on the meaning and company, Dveykus, (a root of this Hebrew word is “dvek” clue) the way this word is used in the vernacular is “cleaving” or “attaching oneself” to something beyond oneself, ie G-d in all areas of life. This term is often used to refer to a deep, trance-like meditative state, most often attained in prayer. The company is run by New York based design veteran Baruch Chertok, who seamlessly bridges the gap between art, music & fashion
as well as culture, spirituality & philosophy. Baruch, a fashion & graphic designer by trade was turned
on to Judaism by a seemingly simple question with profound implications; What makes one Jewish???
Upon closer examination Baruch was blown away with the depth, beauty & wisdom that Judaism has to offer. Dveykus is a byproduct of this journey. This ground breaking collection takes inspiration from Torah, Talmud and a variety of Jewish philosophers. A mixture of thought provoking imagery, touch of pride of our Semitic heritage, contrasted with pop culture is what gives Dveykus its distinct style. Their goal is to inspire Jews of all backgrounds to explore the beauty, wisdom and purpose that Judaism encompasses and translate that vision in a way that has relevance to this generation. Stay tuned for more of their designs. I sport their shirts around the globe for shiz!…
