superpower being challenge by a spiritual war- all they really wanted was their freedom of religion but they always being told that they can’t practice what they preaching- now that ain’t right- to pray to their g-d in their own land they had to soul fight- the miracle of Hanukkah, the festival of lights- they only thought the oil would burn for one night- it burned for eight days, so they followed the light- the beauty of Jerusalem that shined so bright- the core of human history, the center of the world- everybody wants a piece, and they want a turn- Babylonians, Persians, Greeks and Romans- Muslims, Jews and the Christians- there ain’t no separations we all just humans- crossroads of the earth power changes hand to hand- regime change happens in many different lands- so when I light my menorah and I’m giving praise, I remember the ones who’ve slaved, paved the way, and got sent to their graves so we could be here today-
