Chavlaz: Israeli Hip Hop Night

Chavlaz is a celebration of Israel and all the amazing culture that has come from the land, particularly in the past 60 years. Diwon, who has been dubbed "the ambassador of Israeli hip hop to the US," spins Israeli, Sephardic, Balkan, Mizrachi and revolutionary Jewish hip hop music, transforming any US setting resemble the most lively festivals abroad.

Sephardic Music Festival

The Sephardic Music Festival (SMF) seeks to increase interest in and awareness of the Sephardic culture, including Mizrahi, Yemenite and Ladino traditions, highlighting the diversity that exists within the Sephardic branch of Jewish culture and history. The latest Sephardic musical talents in the U. S. will be showcased, working to reinvigorate the thriving Sephardic culture that exists and is waiting to be re-discovered. Hip Hop Sulha

The Hip Hop Sulha is an exciting event featuring some of the most current and world-renowned Israeli and Palestinian musicians. The first of the series will take place this September as part of the New York Jewish Music and Heritage Festival. Be part of this unique opportunity to see Arab and Jewish creativity together on one stage. Diwon's AMERICAN BANDSTAND

Diwon, the producer/dj behind the worldwide Shemspeed parties, is now taking music blending to the next level by dropping futuristic boom blasts into a mix of old school Rhythm and Blues known as Boogie Woogie. The genre spawned hip hop and funk and the night plays as a history lesson in musicology and old school classic dance. Come get down to the old classic sound!
