Ben Folds; You Don’t Know Me
Despite Ben Folds having Jewish family members, getting his break as a bar mitzvah singer and naming an album after a Jewish guy, he swears he is not Jewish. We had no idea because when we get in that mood we play his “Hava Nagila” which you could download for free by clicking here. Turns out that Ben doesn’t know what the words mean, “None of my Jewish friends know what the words mean either,” he said, adding that the lyrics just “roll off the tongue”. His latest album features Regina Spektor on “You Don’t Know Me” which definitely rolls of the tounge, it’s the most pop-ish song we have heard from either of them. (unofficial video below).
