Galeet performs tonight for SMF Teaser
Tonight as part of the Sephardic Music Festival Teaser Night, Galeet Dardashti will debut her newest project entitled, well…”The Naming”. Galeet was recently chosen to be a 6 Point Fellow and this project is part of her work with the fellowship. “This musical project explores some of the compelling yet underappreciated Jewish and non-Jewish female Bible characters. Drawing inspiration from the diverse musical, cultural and linguistic landscapes of the Middle East, Galeet weaves their stories with the sounds of our world today.” For more info all all that, check out her profile on 6points.
To check it all out, come tonight (Dec 10th) to “SMF Teaser” a.k.a. the Festival Preview The night will feature Galeet, joined by the SYREN Modern Dance crew. Since it is indeed a Teaser, SMF also enlisted, Diwon with his entourage of Middle Eastern and Jazz improvisors, Smadar Levi, and Eyal Maoz. If that is not enough, the super group from outer space, Electro Morocco will close out the night!
