You might remember Yael Naim from her song, “New Soul” which was Apple’s go to song for their MacBook Air ads. Well, the French/Israeli pop-folk songstress has a highly anticipated new album SHE WAS A BOY set for release on May10th, just 7 days before Y-Love’s “See Me” drops! You could catch her in NYC on May 9th at Le Poisson Rouge and in L.A. on May 16th at Hotel Cafe, just one night before Y-Love’s CD Release party at L.A.’s hot spot, The Mint.
She Was A Boy, collecting 13 luminous folk-pop gems, each recorded at the singer’s apartment-turned-workshop. You will find upbeat tunes as well as a serious expansion of Naim’s sound, with daring forays into acoustic blues, dreamy soul and raw torch balladry.
